Facility Notes
The pool is usually configured with bulkheads or booms to have a 25m section, a diving section, and a section for instruction.
The pool is open from August or September to May or June; the dates change each year, but are shown on its website (the address is shown in the "Facility Overview", above). It is closed from June to September, when the city's two outdoor pools, the Piscine de Plein Air de la Sitterie and the Piscine Olympique de Plein Air de la Blancherie, are open.
Facility Reviews
The full 50m is available on Saturday mornings between 8 and 10 AM. If you can make it at this time, the pool is a joy: there are no lane ropes but the pool is fairly empty, with crystal clean water. Outside these times, come early morning to train in the 25m training pool, which gets very busy at other times, and has no (or only one or two) lane ropes. There is no lane discipline at all, at any time. You may be well advised at other times to drive 20 minutes down the road to Saillon baths, which, although very expensive - you are paying for bubbly beds and sauna facilities - has a training pool which is always empty.
