Facility Reviews
A very busy pool making lap swimming difficult.
Fantastic location and cheap. For laps, use the INDOOR pool, it has speed-designated lanes and is much cooler. The one outside is crowded and overheated.
The changing rooms are tired, take flip flops. Modern, clean and plentiful floats, kick boards, etc. available. Both pools are a lot cleaner than in 1998.
The centre had a refurbishment in 2012, everything new and clean, lots of space in changing rooms, new showers, etc.

Very busy in peak times (before 9 AM, lunchtimes, after 5 PM), and there is not much lane discipline, either. But outside of those times these are great training pools: lane ropes are always up, lanes are wide enough, the temperature of pools is fine. On a sunny day there is space for sunbathing on the upper terrace. Schools often use the indoor pool between 9 AM and 3 PM in term time – so it’s best to check timetable if you don't want to swim outside.

I love this facility! Great location and a choice of indoor and outdoor pools. It gets very busy at lunchtimes or immediately after office hours.

I've swum there twice and each time there's been quite a lot of debris (dirt, feathers, sticks, leaves, etc.) at the bottom of the outdoor pool.

Both the indoor and outdoor pools were clean and free of debris. The outdoor pool is open throughout the year and is heated to 27ºC (80.6ºF). Both pools have three, wide lanes, and I observed the speeds being enforced. I swam at 9:30 AM, when it was not crowded in either pool.
The locker rooms were modern and clean, and had hair dryers, a swim suit dryer (extractor), and moisturizer available. A 20p coin is required to use the locker and is not refundable when the key is returned.

I loved my experience here. I've used only the indoor pool, which is always clean. My only beef is that the regular clock is as big as a pancake and the pace clock is huge. There are lots of kickboards and pull-buoys available. I swam weekdays from 10:30 AM to noon and it was not very crowded. It's still 20 pence (non-refundable) for a locker, so bring your shower gear on deck and leave valuables in a locker. There are hair dryers, soap, and lotion available in the clean and very spacious changing rooms. Credit and debit cards are accepted for admission, as long as the card has a chip.

I was thrilled to find this pool in London. I swam in the indoor pool, which was busy but there was still lots of room to get in my workout.
