Facility Notes
The facility is undergoing a C$10.5 million renovation. Although the renovation site indicates an expected March, 2023, just above that forecast there's a section that reads:
"Construction for Peter Hemingway Rehabilitation Phase 1 has reached 10% completion. The project has discovered additional deficiencies during the demolition phase and are in discussions to best assess next steps and a recommendation to proceed. This has the potential to delay the completion date of Phase 1 from Q1 2023 to Q2/Q3 2023 if Phase 2 is not funded as part of the 2023-26 Capital Budget." [September, 2022]

Facility Reviews
A very nice pool to swim in. It has the best pool schedule in Edmonton and is typically opened on statutory holidays when other pools can be closed. The men's change rooms must be the filthiest change rooms in the city; partly due to the high use that the building gets, but also due to lack of cleaning. It pays to check the schedule before you go as occasionally swim meets and water polo tournaments close the pool for recreational swimming.
It's a nice pool. They usually have three or four lanes set up in long course configuration all day. Parking is limited.
