Facility Reviews
The facilities are quite good. The public areas are spacious; the staff are courteous and friendly. The competition pool is little used and is divided into lane swim and play areas. The diving pool has open diving time on weekends.
Excellent facility. The pool is very clean, bright, and airy. Locks with wristbands are provided - bring a €1 coin to activate the lock, it is refunded when you reinsert the key. Bring your own towel, soap and shampoo. Locker rooms are spacious and clean but Spartan.
I swam here at four different times over the course of a week and each time it was good - I had a lane to myself most of the time. The water was good; slow, medium and fast lanes were indicated. And, while the staff didn't tell a slow swimmer to change lanes, another swimmer did. Definitely a better standard of swimmer here than in many other pools I have swum in.
The changing rooms were clean, €1 for a locker, showers were average.
The only downside was that lane ropes for the public were ropes with floats. The youth squads had proper lane ropes. Check the timetable to find when 50m and 25m lanes are available.
