Facility Reviews
The best pool in central Brussels for lap swimming. It is well organised, clean, and clearly aimed at the lap swimmer. But swimming times for the general public are limited, see the website for details.
On a Wednesday at 5:30 PM there were 3 - 4 swimmers per lane, all swimming, and the water was clean.
During the school year, especially in the evening, the pool is overcrowded. On Tuesday and Thursday two and occasionally three lanes are used for teaching forcing 8 to 10 swimmers in the remaining lanes.
Nice and clean and, as someone else said, it works quite well for lap swimming. The water is beautifully crystal clear. One lane is closed until further notice due to lose tiles. [The pool was renovated in 2018. Eds.] The remaining four are crowded (there are often more than six swimmers in each lane, if you go after 7 PM) but they are quite wide so it is relatively easy to overtake slower swimmers. Swimmers are generally more "aware" than in many other pools in Brussels and will let you pass them at turnings if you are faster.
