Facility Reviews
Jabiru is a small uranium mining town in the middle of Kakadu National Park. Good facilities exist for the miners and families. The public pool is very good. We were there in winter (the dry season) and although the air temp was warm to hot (25-30ºC), the pool was deserted. Two lanes set aside for swimmers but no lane ropes. We were the only swimmers. Helpful, friendly lifeguards. Basic, clean change rooms (shower temperature fixed at lukewarm). Amazing to find a 50m pool so far from a large city.
The changing facilities are basic but there were three, marked lanes in for lap swimming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and I had a most enjoyable swim.

A fantastic, Olympic-size(!) swimming pool in the midst of Kakadu National Park. Clean, well maintained change rooms, friendly staff, four lap lanes available, barbecues, grassy field for the kids to sit and play. You can also borrow training aids.

A gorgeous, spotless, outdoor, Olympic-length pool with lots of lap lanes. The staff are nice and helpful. The changing rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. After tramping around Kakadu all day in the heat, a visit to this pool was the perfect reward!
