Important Notice Please Read

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times or when Senior Aerobics classes are held; we cannot tell you about the availability or cost of swimming lessons; we cannot get you discounted admission to swim at any of them; and we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their admission policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites and Facebook pages, clickable email addresses, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in the site is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editor becomes aware of a change, but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about seven years to complete; in many places, prices will change four or five times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. (No, it's not a place for you to ask us questions. What we have in each listing is the latest news we have.)

Also, please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with the area and visiting for the first time. Just go to the Add a Pool section of the site, read the first page, then fill out the questionnaire.

Facility Reviews

Very nice, top rate. The outdoor pool is the one for lap swimming; the indoor pool is for kids, walking, etc. Spartan locker room and bring a quarter to use the lock. LOTS of hours, but check the site for the 30 minute closure to change the pool layout from short to long course and vice versa.
This is a nice pool and, although the pH seems fairly balanced, there's a slight chlorine smell. Still, be sure to take a good shower to rinse off. ...which brings up a different problem: While the showers have "hot" and "cold" labels, the only options are "extremely hot" and "scalding hot". There are actually warning signs posted throughout the locker-room about it. I'm not making this up! No kidding! The water is so hot that it's impossible to take even a cursory, one-minute shower to rinse off.

The 50m pool seems to be open only in the 25yd layout; I was there in the afternoon from 1:30 PM on. There's nothing on the pool's website about 50m v. 25yd lane hours.

And, notwithstanding the posted swim hours, when the swim team comes in at 3:30 PM it essentially takes over the whole pool, leaving the wading "lanes" at the ends for everyone else. Better than nothing, but...

It isn't the Rose Bowl, but, at $3.00 in the middle of Henderson, it's a good pool!

This place is impressively much more than "just a pool." Everyone should really look at the main website ("website", above) and the many activities available, not just lap swimming; who knew they have rock wall-climbing? The Multigenerational Center is possibly the best overall facility in the entire Las Vegas area.

The outdoor pool is nicely-maintained with very clear water and good pH balance; there is no hint of the chlorine smell from a year ago and the water temperature was excellent for doing fast laps.

There's nothing obvious on the website about 50m or 25y hours; by the late afternoon, it was short-course for the swim team. What's nice is that even when the swim team takes over the entire pool, a few lanes are kept open specifically for lap swimming.

They've also fixed the "extremely hot" and "scalding hot" shower issue; it's now "warm" and "very warm"!
