Facility Notes
The pool is a large, L-shaped, 77,053 sq. ft., 3-½ million gal., artesian spring-fed pool fed by San Solomon Springs. It has a variety of aquatic life in its clear waters and plenty of room for swimmers, while offering a unique setting for scuba and skin diving.
The park also has a Facebook page.
Facility Reviews
The park and pool are located just off I-10 between El Paso and Fort Stockton a nice break from driving on the Interstate. It actually is an oasis in the desert and well worth a visit if you're driving through on I-10.
There are cabins and campsites in the park beside the pleasant sounds of the outflow stream. The park looked a bit run down in early 2017, but it was clean. The water has a bit of vegetation, but it's not too bad.

A beautiful place to swim - a swimming pool built by the CCC during the depression, with natural bottom, teeming with fish and the odd turtle. But beware, the site is also teeming with Texas chiggers, who leave unpleasant, itchy "bites." My impression is that they're in the grass, but the attendant said they are also in the water. So, if you tend to be sensitive to bug bites, beware.
