Facility Notes
The facility, whose name means "Danube Arena", was built for the 2017 FINA World Championships.
The main pool and warm-up pool (Pools #1 and #2, above, respectively) have movable bulkheads; the warm-up pool also has an adjustable-depth bottom. We understand that the main (competition) pool and the diving pool (Pool #3) are sometimes not open to the public, but the warm-up pool is usually available.
There is also a 32ºC (90ºF) teaching pool and a 20-person Jacuzzi®.
This facility is so close to the separately listed Dagály Termálfürdő, Strandfürdő és Uszoda that their dots on our Google Map for Budapest may overlap, but its not a duplication; they're two separate facilities.
Facility Reviews
I swam here on a Tuesday afternoon. All lanes of the 50m, long course, competition pool were available for public use and not crowded. Starting blocks were allowed to be used. The warm-up pool was also available, as was the Jacuzzi.
The entrance and lockers work on a bracelet system, so there's no need to bring your own lock. Note that there's an extra charge to use the sauna. The entire facility was very clean.
There is a small Arena store in the lobby if you need any swim gear. There was English-language signage in most areas.
