Facility Notes
From its Web page on the North Sydney Council website: "Due to its location above the highwater mark the MacCallum Pool needs to be emptied and refilled approximately once a week… Dates and times vary according to weather conditions and the tides. The pool is closed for cleaning once a week for approximately six hours - usually on a Thursday or Friday. Check the noticeboards at the pool for exact times." Or go to the website link in the "Facility Overview" section of this listing.
We originally had this pool listed as being 30m long but changed it to conform to the 33m indicated on the North Sydney Council's website. When we try to measure the length using our two favorite Internet distance measurement tools, however, we come up with something closer to 32m.
Facility Reviews
Has arguably the best view of any pool in Sydney. ... One disconcerting thing is trying to do laps with topless young ladies lying right next to the pool.
Weekday mornings, you'll find serious old-time lappers... It isn't very child-friendly.
This pool is of concrete construction; you enter the pool at your own risk. There appears to be no showers or toilets at this pool.
