Facility Notes
NOTE: Casual public access is available Monday to Friday only (excluding July, August, and holidays), from 8 AM to 4 PM. The ticket office, however, is open only from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 4 to 8 PM, so, if you want to purchase admission outside these times, you must buy a ticket the previous day or before the afternoon break. (See the next note for bookings in the time of COVID.)
Facility Reviews
This terrific swim centre is in a great location, next to the lovely Doramas Park, at the back of one of the city's best hotels (the Santa Catalina), and near the yacht harbour. (Note: This is not the CN Metropol, which is nearby.)
The centre is owned by the city council, but managed by the Club Natación Las Palmas, and the opening times and ticket arrangements for casual public access swimming reflect this (see above). There is a relaxed atmosphere at the pools, which are well maintained. The lanes are slightly narrow but this is not usually a problem, as there are not many swimmers. Some lanes are reserved for club members.
There are lockers but bring your own padlock. Swim hats are compulsory and there is a shower poolside.
