Facility Notes
Although the pool is striped for 5 lanes, it is usually operated with two lane ropes creating three lanes for swimming.
Facility Reviews
Recently refurbished but the pool is overly warm, very shallow at one end, and lane swimming etiquette is poorly observed.

This is my local pool, but I've given up swimming there. It's crowded and not very clean.
Relatively quiet at peak times and closes either at 8 or 9 most evenings. The pool is a very untypical 30m long, so not very good for professionals! It is quite an old pool but clean and, as mentioned, there are three, wide lanes and a very shallow end.
The changing rooms are now modernised and clean with new lockers, etc. It is a 30m pool but the strangest thing is the depth at the shallow end - 2'9" (~0.8m), which is shallow enough for your hands to touch the bottom swimming front crawl. I went at 7 AM and there were only three people in the wide fast-lane, which was comfortable to get a decent workout.

Slightly unusual in that the entrance to the pool is the deep end rather than the shallow. I agree with the earlier comment about it being too warm. It is nice to swim in, however, the lanes are wide enough to overtake. The ladies changing rooms are clean and tidy; the lockers use 20p coin (refundable). There are individual shower cubicles, but the shower temperature was "bracing" to say the least!

Rating: 4 on a scale of 10. This pool is terrible for lap swimming. The very shallow shallow-end stops real swimming (freestyle, breaststroke, whatever) seven or eight meters from the end of the pool and it’s almost impossible to even do a touch turn.
I gave it four points because, if you must swim (and sometime you have to, no matter what), this is a pool of last resort. Also, it was barely 25ºC (77ºF) the day I swam. In winter.
