Facility Notes
NOTE: Site users from outside the United Kingdom may find that their access to the facility's EveryoneActive.com web page has been blocked. Users who have access to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) can circumvent the block by setting their VPN Region to The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. (We assume that the hackers whom EveryoneActive is trying to block can do this as easily as we have, and we question what purpose is served by making things difficult for their foreign visitors.)
Facility Reviews
Water quality is very good, and changing facility clean. Free parking. Separate learner / training / competition pools mean that the competition pool is dedicated to lane swimming.
This is one of the best public leisure pools that I have come across in the UK.
There are three pools: the two shown above and a 12m learner pool. The competition pool has two fast lanes and one medium lane each of standard width, and a very wide slow lane. After 7:30 AM, the pool is very uncrowded, one to three people per lane, maximum.
The changing facilities are clean, bright and well maintained.
Having been a member of a private health club, I didn't think that I'd ever go back to using public leisure pools. I was wrong. This facility is so good I'm ditching my less than adequate private health club and taking up membership here.
